### **Uploading Content**

#### **Upload Documents**

Users can upload files directly into any workspace or collection using the **Add +** button. Supported formats include PDFs, Word files, images, spreadsheets, and more.

#### **Upload Folders**

When uploading an entire folder:

* The folder structure is preserved
* Subfolders and files are replicated within EmpowerGPT exactly as they appear on your device

This makes bulk uploads simple and reliable.

#### **Weblink Support**

You can also add web URLs directly into a workspace as content. These links can be referenced by assistants for context, grounding, or to enrich responses with external resources.

To add a weblink inside a workspace:

Click `Add +` → `Upload` → `Weblink`

then paste the URL you want to include.

This allows you to store external resources alongside your documents for easy access and assistant grounding.

### **Importing from External Apps**

EmpowerGPT supports importing content from integrated storage platforms:

#### **SharePoint/OneDrive etc.**

* Import documents and folders directly
* Permissions are inherited
* Data is synced periodically

These integrations ensure seamless access to enterprise-wide content.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.empowergpt.ai/data-import-and-integrations/workspaces/uploading-documents-and-weblinks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
