# Chat within the context

### **Workspace Chat**

EmpowerGPT’s integrated chat enhances collaboration by enabling discussions directly within the context of your files and folders.

#### **Starting a Chat**

* **Workspace-Level Chat**\
  Click **Start Chat** at the top of the workspace to begin a conversation that applies to all workspace content.
* **Content-Level Chat**\
  Hover over a specific file or folder and click **Start Chat** to open a discussion tied directly to that item.

Authenticated users can:

* View previous conversations
* Continue discussions
* Start new chats with updated context

This makes teamwork more efficient and ensures important discussions remain attached to the relevant content.
